What makes WerkMaster™ so unique? Octi-Disc™ Technology and SPEED! Our heads spin at disc speeds that are unheard of and are unavailable on today’s planetary, direct drive or drum machines!  Try this test. Run a 7” cup wheel on a variable speed hand grinder at 450 rpm; the first thing you will notice is you will need to push down with your weight on it. Now spin it up to 2100 rpm, the first thing you will do is reduce your pressure on it because it is cutting so quickly!  It is basic physics, the faster you’re rpm, the more often the abrasive is crossing the surface and with more abrasives, the FASTER the Rate of Removal – the FASTER and BETTER the SHINE or RESULTS!

Our new patent pending ULTRA- FLEX Plug ‘N Go System is a major advancement in tooling design. The first machines incorporated Velcro hook & loop technology and were basically planers. The rigid system wouldn’t allow the machines to follow the floor. The rigidity of the Velcro system resulted in track marks and ghosting on some concrete floors that required a cream polish look, but the results were excellent on terrazzo, stone and wood floors.

The challenge was to develop a system that would allow the machines to not only flatten a floor, but to follow a very wavy, uneven floor using the same tools and drive plates. The result was an ingenious system that uses rubber grommets of various hardness, bumpers and INDEXING. The result is an increase in productivity of  20% to 45% over our older Velcro design! Now, you can vary the desired flexibility allowing you to flatten the floor or follow the floor better than any planetary grinder or hardwood belt sander. How wavy? Remove deep birdbaths or fishbowls up to ¾ inch deep! Grind and polish around drains. Plug ‘N Go technology also eliminates the frustration and pain of dealing with lippage, expansion joints, large cracks, curled wood floors or decks.

Why are WerkMaster machines so effective on hardwood? Because our machine is designed to be a planer. Belt and drum sanders cause divots, stall marks and chatter marks and are difficult to operate. The edgers can be a nightmare to run. Stained floors require a tremendous amount of blending with a buffer, which isn’t usually very dust proof and are labour intensive.

WerkMaster machines are very fast, agile, will remove overwood , coatings including cutback carpet glue, paint, tongue oil, staples, paint and just about any coating on a wood floor, because we pioneered the design and use of Diamond Abrasive Tools for refinishing hardwood floors! Now we have developed a Sandpaperless System! That is correct, no sandpaper, our specially designed diamond abrasive tooling and custom screens means you can complete thousands of square feet of hardwood floors without using sandpaper!

Aluminium oxide factory finished engineered floors are more popular today and need refinishing. Problem is the amount of wood to work with is limited. A belt sander could damage an engineered floor in a heartbeat, or remove too much wood, shortening the life of the floor. Not a worry with a WerkMaster, because our Sandpaperless System removes the finish so quickly without damaging or removing too much wood.
