WerkMaster™ floor refinishing machines were initially manufactured over 13 years ago to polish Absolute Black granite, one of the hardest stones to polish. Realizing a need for a machine that could also grind and polish Terrazzo and Concrete, the original machine was completely redesigned. The first machines, the Europa and TITAN were basically planers. Great on Stone, Terrazzo and as we discovered on Hardwood as well, but not when a cream or salt and pepper look on Concrete was required. The rigid system wouldn’t allow the machines to follow the floor, resulting in track marks and ghosting, but could it ever flatten a floor and do an amazing job on an exposed aggregate look. Our reputation grew as being the Best and Fastest Concrete Surface Preparation Equipment but our reputation was blemished on polishing because of the tracking. Our competitors had a hay day with this. It didn’t matter that we could get to within 1/8” inch of the wall, which is a major selling feature of Werkmaster machines, or that our finished results were far superior; there was still that ghosting.
